As a lot of you know, I have a standing theory that I continue to profess will come to fruition…

Supreme Leader Snoke is none other than our Star Wars Rebels hero, Ezra Bridger. Please see my post ‘Star Wars: The Search for Snoke’ on that theory for the evidence.

So one of the primary arguments I’ve heard against this theory over and over is that under no circumstances are the filmmakers going to bring in little-known characters from TV shows as the general public wouldn’t recognize these characters having not watched the shows.

Well… now that Rogue One has come out, we’ve gotten a few nice little Easter Eggs, some bigger than others:

saw-gerrera

Is that Saw Gerrera from the Clone Wars????

Okay… I have to admit that I am still kicking myself for not seeing this during my first viewing of Rogue One…

… … … Wait wait wait… is that the Ghost!?!?!?

Okay, now you could argue that perhaps the Ghost isn’t the only VXC-100 Freighter employed by the Rebel Alliance. Okay fine, fair enough, but you’d be hard pressed to explain away the ‘General Syndulla’ intercom call during the previous scene at the Yavin base… or perhaps our next little Easter Egg…

We never see two droids in the same line that look exactly alike. Plus let’s not forget that Chopper was repaired by Hera, thus a lot of his parts are spares that don’t even match. This is very clearly him in the movie.

So with that, we now have some very solid evidence against that sentiment. Personally I’m just happy to see that my theory survived yet another movie.

Other theories that have held up as well:

  1. Kanan Jarrus = Lor San Tekka, sent to Jakku to watch over Rey (think Obi Wan).
    Why? (See #2)
  2. Rey is the child of Sabine and Ezra.
  3. Rey is a Skywalker
  4. Rey is a Kenobi
  5. Rey is a Palpatine
  6. Rey is a Solo
  7. Fin is related to Lando (Facepalm)
  8. Rey is Anakin reincarnated (ugh!)

Readers, let me know any others that you’ve heard that survived the Rogue One story.
