Hi all,

Quick update. We’ve secured everything we need for our new cover.

Rick Chandler of the Boston Film Family Photography is once again onboard with providing us the images needed for the cover design. Nicole Hailer, an incredibly talented model is also onboard, providing her services to portray one of our main characters.

Coming off of several hard projects, and the success of Drakin: The Story of Raiya, Brett Warniers  is back onboard doing the design work and so far, what he’s shown me has a lot of promise! The title has been created and a rough draft has been assessed.

The cover blurb has been finalized and will appear on the inside flap and/or the back of the book:
“The Red War may be over, but not all wounds have healed. For Radley Zall, the nightmares never end. After years of struggling for survival, he finds himself deporting wayward dragons to the Exclusion Zone. The horrors of his past have left him a broken man, slowing killing himself in a bottle of whiskey. It’s a wearying existence that many former soldiers have been subject to since the war ended, but for Radley, that is all about to change.

Throughout his life, Radley’s hatred of dragons has been unmatched until one evening when a small one shows up on his doorstep. The pathetic creature is emaciated and begging for shelter.

Radley’s uncharacteristic decision to help her forces him to confront his past actions— some of which may have contributed to a sinister plot to reignite the Red War and wipe out the few remaining dragons on Earth.”

Editing about half way done and the legal documents have been submitted.

Drakin: The Orphans of Haven will be available in Kindle digital, Hard Cover, and softcover formats. So whether you like reading in a digital format or are a stick in the mud like me who prefers hard copies, there will be one for you!

At this point, we still don’t have a release date. It would be somewhat premature to announce something yet when so much is still in developement, but I’m hoping for late fall.

Thanks, friends!

Catch you on the flip side!
