In memory of Chester Bennington, I thought I’d offer up a classic that has been on my playlist for many years now. Linkin Park was one of my early gateways into hard rock before moving to full metal. So it’s only fitting to bring it in.

When to listen: This is a break away song. Often our hero reaches a low point in the story. A friend or mentor dies, they find out that a parent is the cause of most of the problems, their family has a big legacy to live up to, etc. This song is for when that character comes to terms with it.
