I was actually wondering about Nayeli and Joaquim’s baby. You gave a brief description, but I was wondering more about what she’ll look like. Does she look like Raiya?

Hi Micah,

The short answer is “yes”. From my book:

Joaquim was as still as a statue. He stared at the images while Nayeli moved closer to the screen and touched the left cheek of each portrait. They were both very similar. Both had their mother’s hair and eyes. It was unmistakable. The pupils were the same shape as those of a dragon, but the eyes themselves were human.

Their appearances were very similar to Raiya’s but with distinct differences. The scales on their foreheads, temples, and necks, were nowhere near as pronounced. Their skin was an olive brown, slightly darker than Raiya’s. The horns on their heads were also quite a bit smaller.

So yes, she looks like Raiya to a CERTAIN extent. Her horns aren’t as pronounced, she has no tail, but unlike Raiya, it’s hinted that she may have wings at some point. Young Taryn only gets a few minutes of mention at the end. However, unlike Raiya, her biology should be considerably more viable.

Anyway, I hope this helps. I don’t want to give too much away.
